Business Post: Startups Ride AI Wave Amid Global Investment Surge

Sri Lankan startups are tapping into the global AI boom, attracting international investors and reshaping the local tech landscape. From Colombo to Jaffna, entrepreneurs are launching AI-powered platforms in finance, logistics, and education.

According to recent reports, venture capital interest in South Asia has surged by 35% in Q3 2025, with Sri Lanka emerging as a promising hub for lean, scalable innovation. Local incubators like Hatch and Yarl IT Hub are playing a key role in mentoring founders and connecting them to global networks.

One standout example is NeuroLink Lanka, a startup developing AI-driven mental health tools. Their recent partnership with a European health tech firm marks a milestone for cross-border collaboration.

“Sri Lanka’s tech talent is world-class. With the right support, we can build solutions for global impact,” says Tharindu Perera, co-founder of NeuroLink Lanka.

As AI continues to redefine industries, Sri Lankan startups are proving that innovation knows no borders.
